Megan & Mark - Whitestone Wedding

After doing their engagement photos this past fall I learned that come January 3rd I should expect just about anything from Mark.  He has such a goofy and fun side that makes Megan laugh so easily.  But the one thing I didn't expect from Mark was tears.  Something about the exchanging of rings just choked him up in the sweetest way.  After that, it didn't matter that it rained all day.  Their Whitestone Country Inn wedding was perfection.  Here's the first wedding of 2015!

Olivia & Marc

I'm so excited to finally share some of these gems!  I feel like I have been sitting on these little treasures for too long but with the holiday rush I got a little busy.  But alas, I finally bring you the last wedding of 2014 - Olivia & Marc's incredible day.  Or, I guess I should say best day ever since that was the theme for the day (how cute, right?).  Let's be honest - Olivia could be a model and Marc isn't so bad himself.  My job has never been easier.

Allie & Brian Engagements

On this very cold evening here in TN nothing is warming me up like Allie & Brian's engagement session.  I just love winter engagement photos - they are so snuggly and cozy even if you do freeze a little taking them.  Right after Christmas I met these two in adorable Chattanooga and I'm so glad Allie called to tell me she wanted to do them when we did.  I had so much trouble narrowing down what to blog.  These two just have the most fun personalities and I really can't wait for their wedding this September.  Enjoy!

Contact Page Issues

My website is currently having problems sending me emails sent through the Contact Page.  If you have tried to contact me over the last few weeks and have not heard back please do so again! kbirkbeck1@gmail.com or 865-293-6367 are the best ways to get me until I can get this issue fixed.

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience!  Thanks!

Hello 2015!

Yesterday I kicked off the year with a gorgeous winter wedding at Whitestone Inn.  And if this wedding is an indication of what is to come for the year I will welcome it with open arms.  Can't wait to share more for this day!

17th Place - Reception

Merry Christmas to me!  I found out last week that I placed 17th in the Reception category in the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association.  I love that it was a photo chosen from Courtney & Alex's gorgeous Castleton Farms wedding.  Just the sweetest moment between Alex and his mom as they shared a dance.

The Staudenmaier Family

There's nothing better at Christmastime then the sound of giggles.  Elaina and Aidan were just full of giggles but they also had plenty of hugs and kisses to give too.  This is one of the sweetest families ever and I loved photographing them at Bluebird Christmas tree farm.  Enjoy!

Kayla & Lee Engagements

It's just a fact of life, sometimes you work with boring couples.  And, well, Kayla & Lee just have zero personality.  They were completely shy in front of the camera, hated touching each other at all, were too afraid to try new things and the biggest one of all - didn't laugh the entire time.

JUST KIDDING!  Obviously, they were completely opposite of all of those things.  I loved photographing them at the beautiful Swann Plantation where they will be married this April.  Can't wait!

Olivia & Marc Preview

I'm working so hard on delivering photos of all kinds for Christmas - tis the season!  But I just had to share a few more from this gorgeous wedding, my last for 2014.  More pictures coming soon!

ISPWP - Decisive Moment

Another round of contest awards was just announced from the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers and this crazy fun image from Sara & Seth's wedding placed 5th in The Decisive Moment category.  It's one of my favorite pictures from the year so I am thrilled it made the cut.  I find it incredibly cool to look through this category and look at the location of the other winners.  It goes Spain, Portugal, Spain (again), United Kingdom, and then KNOXVILLE, TN, Taiwan, Chile.  I could go on and on but instead I'll say a big thank you to the ISPWP for including me!

The Lane Family

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it is never lost on me how precious your family memories are.  I'm thankful every year for the people who trust me to capture the love and joy that makes them family.  I especially love the Lane family and all their cuteness.

The Brown Family

As if this blog needed any more cuteness along comes The Browns!  Watching brothers interact is adorable always but when one helps the other learn to walk - priceless!  Love these smiles...

The Heffern Family

Little Elliott is a wild bundle of energy who hugs in the forms of tackles.  And I adore that!  He's got the goofiest side that compliments the sweet side that appears every so often.  What more could you want with a 4 year old?  I had so many laughs with this family...

The Hubbard Family

Can you tell that family photo season is in full swing?  Here's another sweet family that I love to photograph! I can't get enough of their sibling relationships.  Too much cuteness...

The Harris Family

I'm going to be honest and say this is one of my favorite families to photograph.  I think because there really is no faking it with them.  Their photos are always "life with 2 boys" because boys will just do what they do - happy, grumpy, and everywhere in between.  These kids made me laugh harder then I probably ever had at a family session before.  It's such an honor to photograph them every year!

The Levenson Family

This was the night that the leaves were on fire!  I'm in love with the way the sun was hitting these gorgeous fall colors.  And how cute is little Bodie in his Christmas outfit?  So excited to share these photos of one adorable family.

The Wilson Family

Ok, one more post for the day (if you're keeping track that's 3 which I think is a record).  I had the insane privilege of photographing another photographer and her adorable family.  Laurie Wilson is new to the Knoxville area but not at all new to photography - she's amazing!  I'm so honored she trusted me to do her first ever family photo session.  And let's be honest Laurie, you need to be in front of the camera way more often!
