Caroline & Brian - Engagements

After a little bit of a blog break to help me catch up on some editing...I'm finally back!  And I have oh so much to show you, starting with this fabulous engagement session.  I traveled down to Kennesaw, GA to photograph Caroline and Brian.  Brian is a pilot for the Air Force and since he's been home he seems to be teaching Caroline all about the planes he loves so much.  I loved this aviation themed engagement session and can't wait for their wedding in just a few short months.

Rachel & Michael

Sometimes when I sit down to write about a wedding I get a little overwhelmed and I most certainly will forget something because there is so much that happens on a wedding day!  And there is just so much I want to say about Rachel & Michael.  First off, I think they might be the sweetest couple I have ever photographed.  At one point after taking photos in the heat for a few hours Michael told me how much fun he was having taking photos and I totally thought he was being sarcastic.  But he quickly said, "No, no - we've been together forever and we have zero photos.  I'm totally serious"!  It made my heart so happy! And then there's Rachel - who centered the photo schedule around a photo that she wanted for Michael.  There is a tree that sits at Michael's parents' house that was planted for his dog that recently passed away.  To anyone just passing by it doesn't look fancy or special but I love how special it was that they got a photo with this tree.  So it seems that this is just the kind of people that they are - thoughtful and kind and just a lot of fun.  And you can tell they get that from their families who all thanked me dozens of times and their friends who made me eat a sandwich with them quickly on the trolley because it was a long day.  Those kinds of things never go unnoticed from me!  This was such a special wedding and I'm so excited to share these photos...

Rachel's Bridal Portraits

Now that Rachel is officially a married woman I finally get to share some of her Bridal Portraits!  I had so much fun with Rachel and her mom at The Knoxville Botanical Gardens just about a month ago.  Rachel is truly stunning and was so easy to make beautiful photos with.  Enjoy!

Katie & Nick - Engagements

Katie & Nick will say "I do" this Fall and after a big move from New York to TN we finally got to do their engagement photos.  This couple is crazy adorable all on their own but add in puppy Prince and there is almost too much cuteness in one place.  I loved traipsing around downtown with them and capturing their goofy laughter and all the sweetness.  Here are some of my favorites...

The Peter-Fritts Family

I cannot believe that Xavier is already 1 year old.  It seems like just yesterday that I got to meet this perfect little baby model for his first shoot (which of course he rocked like he has done every time I've photographed him).  Photographing this family is one of my favorite things to do!  Enjoy!

Leanne & Chad

A little sign at the wedding reception of Leanne & Chad's special day read, "It's never too late to live happily ever after".  It seems that these two have waited a long time to be together.  And after lots of tears and the sweetest wedding ceremony ever, they are finally husband and wife!  The couple lit up Forte's in Crossville (literally since Chad is a very talented lighting designer) for a gorgeous evening.  I'm so excited to share their wedding...

Hannah & Eli {Associates Photographer Wedding}

Let's give it up for my Associate Photographers!  They shot this gorgeous South, GA wedding a few weeks ago in the heat that did not stop.  I love how homey and meaningful this wedding was and how it just oozed with southern charm.  This couple looks like they've loved each other for a long time - and always will.

Abby & Joseph

If you swooned over the wedding in the movie Sweet Home Alabama (just like I did), then you are going to love this one!  Abby & Joseph had their wedding reception in the exact spot that Reese Witherspoon punches Candice Bergen in that adorable film.  And I know this because I got to watch that scene be filmed when I was a student at Berry College.  Oak Hill is a gorgeous plantation that is such a part of the beautiful history at this gorgeous campus.  Yes, the day was a little bit hot but those of us in the south know it's all par for the course in the month of June.  And Abby & Joseph clearly didn't care about the heat.  All I heard from guests that night was the comment that Abby hasn't stopped smiling all day.  This was one gorgeous wedding...

Rebekah & Ross

When I think of this wedding the only word that comes to mind is family.  It surprised no one that Rebekah wanted to get married at the adorably quaint little house that her great-grandfather built, also the house her parents now live in.  And right after her dad walked her down the aisle, he switched roles and became the pastor that joined these two in marriage.  It was a beautifully hot day, even if the grasshoppers and crickets enjoyed Rebekah's dress a little too much.  And the kids in this wedding were just some of the funniest I have ever seen!  What a dream wedding.

Whitney & Caleb

One of my favorite things about working with Whitney is that she consistently kept me in the loop and wanted to know what the best option was going to be for photos.  She picked the time of the wedding ceremony based on the light and we had just the most gorgeous light for photos after.  And this is one stunning couple so the light and the camera just loved them! It was the most beautiful day even if it did rain right before (and maybe a little during) the ceremony.  Check out all the beauty from this day from the bride and groom to the most adorable kids to the details provided by Vintage Inspirations.

Stay Tuned...

Get ready because next week I will be sharing more for this wedding and if you can't tell from this photo, it's a super gorgeous one!

Melissa & Mike

I could talk for days about this wedding - about how the cake was surrounded with old photos of weddings from Melissa & Mike's families or about how the pastor made sure Mike stuck to an Irish tradition of doing a shot before getting married.  I could go on and on about Melissa's dress, the mountains that provided a gorgeous backdrop or the way that Melissa's veil seemed to have a mind of it's own.  But none of it compares to how much they love each other (and secondly how much Mike loves a microphone).  This Asheville wedding is full of so much beauty.  I know they have been waiting patiently to see some more photos so here's a really long post (because it was too hard to narrow down).  Enjoy!

Elizabeth & Clark

Elizabeth once told me that it doesn't get any better than Saturday brunch in the south.  If that's true than nothing is better than this wedding!  The southern elegance and laid back feel of the day was inspiring and beautiful.  I got to Darlington at 6:30 am with the sun just starting to come up.  It was so quiet and peaceful.  With an 11:00 ceremony and brunch that followed, this wedding felt like home.  It's possible it is because this is where both Elizabeth and Clark went to school.  Or it's possible that it is because her parents were also married in this chapel.  Either way, I just loved the whole day almost as much as I loved Elizabeth's dress!

Andrei

How cute is this happy little guy?  That little toothless grin is my favorite!  Andrei really knew how to work the camera and he clearly has his dad (and grandparents) wrapped around his tiny little fingers.  And it was so clear to me that he gets his many expressions from his dad.  Is 5 months too young to start reading Huckleberry Fin?  Definitely not! Enjoy!

The Hulette Boys (and Mom too)

I love photographing these boys!  They always keep me on my toes and make me work extra hard for those smiles but they are the cutest ever!  And when mom Meredith emails me a few days after our photo shoot to tell me that Jackson was "playing photographer" and was asking her to send me the photos he took...well that just makes my day!

Annie & Blake - Engagements

I am so excited to share these photos!  Annie & Blake are one precious couple.  They just seem so thoughtful of each other.  Annie wanted to do golfing pictures because Blake loves it so much.  Blake emailed me to thank me for making Annie so happy about the photos.  They just look out for each other.  They are the sweetest.  Enjoy these happy photos...
