Sarah & Charlie

This love right here is just so sweet.  Meet Sarah & Charlie - two sweet people who are just incredible together.  The day started with a little rain but luckily it did only enough to make some fun dress hanging photos and then left us along the rest of the day.  Which is awesome because the Museum of Appalachia made such a perfect backdrop for photos after an adorable ceremony.  And what's more is that Sarah & Charlie just love Norris, TN so they'll always have photos from a perfect day in a town they love.  Enjoy!

Jacquelyn & Ben

I vividly remember the day Princess Kate got married.  And I remember thinking that she was the classiest bride ever.  Period!  Well, Jacquelyn sure could give her a run for her money because she just dripped with a classy grace all day and to be honest I kind of think she looks like Kate Middleton.  One thing that I think is especially hard in the summer (especially in the south) is to keep your look all day.  But seriously, for her dress to her hair and makeup she looked stunning from the second her hair and makeup was finished until the sparkler exit at the end of the night.  Her dress was so stunning and just fit her so perfectly that it never moved an inch out of place.

Jacquelyn & Ben shared all the emotions of true love on this gorgeous day in July.  Enjoy the photos from this perfect day...

The Barn at Williams Manor - Styled Shoot

I am soooooo excited to share these photos!  A few weeks ago I spent the evening at The Barn at Williams Manor with so many incredible people.  First of all, this gorgeous couple!  Katie & Hunter were the perfect models for this shoot and they stuck it out thru some unbearable heat.

But here is a list of all the Knoxville vendors that participated.  They're all my heroes - they work so hard and are amazing at what they do:

Venue: The Barn at Williams Manor

Hair & Makeup: Bangs and Blush

Florals: Samuel Franklin

Cake: The Cakery Bakery

Dress: Wedding Wonderland

Candles: Vintage Inspiration Rentals

Mis-matched china: Unique Settings

Erin & Jonathan

You know what's more fun then photographing the wedding of one of your former college roomies?  Watching her be the happiest you've ever seen her.  Erin is absolutely the kindest soul that you'll ever meet.  She really must say thank you 5,000+ times a day.  And a girl that thankful for all that she has truly is a girl after my own heart.  I'm going to try to be better about that!  Erin & Jonathan got married last weekend at the gorgeous Primrose Cottage in Atlanta, GA.  Enjoy!

Julia & Reuel - Castleton Farms Wedding

One of the things I loved most about Julia & Reuel's wedding was listening to their friends and family talk about them during the toasts.  Their moms are best friends and seriously, isn't that the dream for your kids to marry each other?  But they talked about how funny it was to watch this romance start because they would text non-stop but then not talk at all face to face on family trips.  Eventually they did start talking and from the sounds of it, they never left each other's side after that.  What a sweet story!  I loved photographing this day - the groom (yes, the groom) had so many fun details from wearing his late dad's wedding ring to the locket gifted to him from his fellow NYCPD friends.  And of course Julia did too with all of her bling.  Enjoy!

And special thanks to Castleton Farms, Bangs and Blush, the Cakery Bakery, Music in Motion, Samuel Franklin Florals for making this day absolutely amazing!

Whitney & Chantz

When I meet a bride that is as beautiful and sweet and intelligent and fun like Whitney all I can think is "please make the groom worthy of her love."  And oh my goodness you guys - Chantz is so amazing too!  This is one power couple right here that is meant for big things.  You can spend 5 minutes with both of them and know that they are just about the nicest people you will ever meet.  And that truly is the best kind of love to capture.  No lie, it was so hot on this day but it was a perfect day to celebrate the marriage of two amazing people.

Aubin & Richard

Today I welcome you back to the 1950's with this delightfully gorgeous, vintage wedding.  After Aubin was completely dressed from head to toe one of her bridesmaids looked at her and said, "You own that look".  And oh, did she ever!  The dress she wore was her grandmother's dress and was also worn by her mom.  She designed her own shoes for the look and her flowers were a bouquet made out of the pages of a book (Harry Potter to be exact).  I honestly don't know if a birdcage veil has ever been a more compliment to a wedding dress then on this day.  I had so much fun capturing every moment of this day - from Richard's perfect reaction to seeing Aubin to the AMAZING dances that graced the dance floor at the reception - The Southern Railway.  Enjoy!

Shannon & Bill

If ever there was a single word to describe this wedding I think that word would be joy.  From the happy little flower that is the sunflower to the gorgeous laughter of Shannon & Bill, their wedding was just a day of celebration and happiness.  They were married at Immaculate Conception and then enjoyed a fantastic party at The Foundry.  All under a sky that contained not one cloud in it.  I smiled the entire time I edited these photos!

Haley & Methus

I've been looking forward to this wedding all year long because I love working with the sweetest couples - and they don't make them any sweeter then Haley & Methus.  I'd be willing to bet that Haley hugged every single person on the property throughout the entire day of her wedding multiple times.  Some people are huggers and Haley is definitely a hugger!  I couldn't keep the bridesmaids or the groomsmen from laughing through photos before the ceremony (ok, maybe I encouraged the bridesmaids to tell me an embarrassing story about Haley and they 100% delivered).  This wedding was such a beautiful family affair and I loved capturing every moment of the ceremony - from Haley's adorable expressions to the ring bearers smarts as he created just a little bit of shade for himself.  It was definitely the hottest wedding I've photographed this year but so beautiful all the same.

Charissa & Jacob

Oh man, I just love Hunter Valley Farm!  It was glowing on Saturday on a perfect 72 degrees day - just like Charissa & Jacob were.  I couldn't get enough of the light all day and any photographer will tell you how important that is.  We might have found a snake on a tree that made me scream like the girly girl I am in front of all the guys.  But I still took a photo of it (you've been warned).  And Charissa didn't have to see it so she got to be lost in beautiful ceremony and the magical sunset we had.  What a perfect day with these two!

Kirsten & Jay

Just look at that smile on Kirsten's face.  I do believe that it was a permanent fixture on her wedding day - even despite the rain and wind and cold in May.  I love how calm and chill they were all day, just going with the flow and waiting until the last minute to make game day decisions based on the weather.  At the end of the day they got to have their ceremony in the place they wanted and the sun even came out for about five minutes - just in time for them to exit their ceremony to "Here Comes the Sun".  This fun loving couple was such a joy to photograph!

Kelsey & David Wedding

It's not often that I wake up at 5am for a wedding.  In fact, I'm usually putting myself to sleep around 1 or 2am at the end of a wedding.  But love an early wake up call, especially when I get to spend the morning with all the cuteness that is Kelsey & David.  This simply sweet wedding consisted of gorgeous morning light, a brunch buffet, the cutest ceremony ever, and a lavender send off.  And then they were off to enjoy the rest of a beautiful day together as honeymooners.  Enjoy!

Ashlee & Wesley

I'm 100% convinced you will never see a sweeter couple then you will see in these photos right here.  Everyone said so all day - from all of their friends and family to each and every vendor.  They just aren't a lot of fuss!  Ashlee laughed hysterically when right after the ceremony Wesley lifted his leg to show her that his pants had ripped.  You can just tell that they loved every minute of this entire day.  Ashlee surprised Wesley with a light saber exit because he loves Star Wars and he she was so right when she told me he would look like a big kid when he saw it.  Enjoy this fun day!

Kiera & Adam - Wedding

What is better then perfect weather on your wedding day?  Probably nothing!  This lovely couple hands down had the perfect day.  One of my favorite things about their wedding was that they decided to do photos in the old Cotton Mill that Kiera's Paw Paw used to work in.  And it was a photographer's dream to photograph, all the way down to the boiler room.  I just LOVE spring weddings with a beautiful couple who has amazing family and friends.  Makes my job so, so easy!

The Smith Family

I've been such a bad blogger lately!  And I'm so sorry for not appearing over the last few months so I promise to be so much better going forward through this year.  So check back often!

So let's start with the Smith Family!  I photographed this adorable family on April Fool's Day.  And Lisa secretly told me that she had been trying to fool Dave all day.  So at the end of the shoot I told him that I just realized I had never put a memory card in my camera.  I'm definitely not the best actress but he somehow bought it, haha.  But I'm so glad that wasn't really the case because we captured a lot of gorgeousness on this beautiful spring day!  Enjoy!

Hillary & Paul - Ringing in the New Year!

Get ready for some bling today!  I absolutely LOVE photographing a New Year's Eve wedding - so much so that I'm already booked to ring in 2018 the same way!  But ringing in 2017 with Hillary and Paul was so incredibly special.  They were the most sweet, most fun couple around.  They even climbed into a window at Urban Outfitters just for a good photo (and OMG, I love it)!  Not to mention it was crazy cold, a little drizzly and they still traipsed all over downtown Knoxville - with smiles on their faces.  Their ceremony was so beautiful and their little ring bearer rocked the dance floor like I've never, ever seen another kid do.  And then the night ended with confetti & champagne.  What better way to start the year?

Let's Celebrate!

It never fails that when you talk about a year some people will tell you that it was a really hard year while others will say it was one of the best years of their life.  For the 22 couples that I photographed this year who said, "I do"...I'm willing to bet that most of them say that 2016 was the latter.  So I'm celebrating with them!  I picked out my favorite photos from this year that involve a celebration!  Because who doesn't love looking at happy photos?  Sure, I have so many other photos that I would love to share from 2016 - so many of my favorites from the year were something other then complete celebration.  But I wanted my first post of 2017 to be  a joyous one!  So I hope you enjoy these and they make you smile.  Here's to photographing many more celebrations in 2017 too...

Kathryn & Steven

You guys - I'm blogging!!!  Whew, this has been a crazy season and I've been so concentrated on getting everyone their photos in time for Christmas that I have definitely neglected this little page of mine.  But I am so excited to share this incredible wedding from Black Fox Farms.  Kathryn & Steven are so fun to photograph - so expressive and fun and just full of life.  But seriously, the colors of this day just blew me away!  It was a perfect day full of so much love.  Enjoy!

Jessica & Matt - Castleton Farms Wedding

Fall is in the air...finally!  Jessica & Matt had the perfect wedding at the always amazing Castleton Farms a few weeks ago to kick off the new season.  They love football and cowboy boots so what better time to get married!  The fall colors were just starting to pop out so we took advantage.  I think their first look is one of my most favorites ever!  Enjoy the photos from this beautiful day!

Namaste Betty - Knoxville Yoga Event

A few weeks ago I got to photograph one of my favorite Knoxville events - Namaste Betty.  This outdoor yoga event, held in honor of Betty Kalisterwho tragically died in a plane crash last year with her husband and daughter, reminds me that there is so much sweetness in the world and in the beautiful community of Knoxville.  At the heart of this event is people loving each other and using yoga to just better themselves and the people around them.  Betty's surviving family members - including her other daughter and her mother - literally held each other up during this event.  Life keeps moving, even if the pain is always there, and if we're lucky we have someone to hold on to.  I'm so excited to share these photos - hope you enjoy them and if you live in Knoxville I really hope to see you at this event next year!
